How the band is set
Three bands, one assessment
Your price is based on your country of residence. If that country does not match the card billing country, access is paused for a pricing check. Card-issuing country, institution location and IP address are not used to set the price. Public prices start at US$50. Charges are in USD; your card issuer may convert if the card is in another currency.
Band C
The lower published fee, used where the catalogue maps residence to Band C.
Band B
The mid published fee, used where the catalogue maps residence to Band B.
Band A
The higher published fee, used where the catalogue maps residence to Band A.
What a band changes
The price, and nothing else
A candidate in Band C pays the Band C price for the same assessment a Band A candidate takes. Sponsored access and financial aid preserve the official price rather than discounting it: the sponsor covers all or part of the fee.
What a band never changes
Form, scoring, report and certificate
The assessment version, the scoring model, the competency report and the certificate are identical in every band. Candidate information is never sold.
Sponsorship and retakes
Vouchers, sponsored access and retaking
Institutions and employers can sponsor candidates directly. A sponsored candidate takes the same assessment on the same terms.
Institutional and employer sponsorship
An institution or employer can issue vouchers that cover all or part of an assessment fee, and can invite candidates directly. Sponsorship does not give the sponsor access to a result; sharing stays under the candidate’s permission controls.
Institutional accessAfter at least 30 days
Retakes are available after 30 days and use a different assessment form. A retake is a new purchase at the current price.
